Safari Overview

This epic safari combines the best of Kenya and Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife parks. From the lush savannahs and dramatic landscapes of Amboseli and the Masai Mara, to the awe-inspiring Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, this 10-day journey takes you deep into the heart of East Africa’s natural wonders. Witness the world’s greatest animal migration, spot the Big Five, and experience the cultures of the Maasai and other local tribes.

Day 1-2: Amboseli National Park (Kenya)

Your adventure begins with a journey to Amboseli, where the towering Mt. Kilimanjaro provides a stunning backdrop. Famous for its large elephant herds, this park also offers sightings of lions, cheetahs, and giraffes. Enjoy spectacular game drives, including a visit to Observation Hill for panoramic views of marshes teeming with wildlife like buffalo, pelicans, and hippos. Evening drives might even offer a glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. Spend two nights at your safari lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha (Kenya)

Next, you’ll head to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater oasis surrounded by lush green landscapes. Experience a boat safari, gliding past hippos and observing grazing impalas and buffalo along the shores. A walking safari on Crescent Island lets you explore the park among giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. In the evening, relax at your lodge or tented camp on the lake’s edge.

Day 4-5: Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)

Travel to the world-renowned Masai Mara, known for its rich wildlife and stunning landscape. Enjoy unlimited game drives, where you’ll encounter the Big Five and other remarkable species. The Mara is famous for its annual wildebeest migration (July–October), but its wildlife is impressive year-round. Enjoy a picnic by the Mara River, where you may see hippos, crocodiles, and, during migration, large herds crossing the river. Spend two nights here at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)

Cross the border into Tanzania, where you’ll discover the Serengeti National Park—home to one of the most famous wildlife migrations on the planet. This vast park is teeming with wildebeest, zebra, lions, cheetahs, and elephants. The game drives here are awe-inspiring as you explore the endless plains, encountering herds and predators alike. With millions of animals moving across the savannah, Serengeti is a wildlife photographer’s paradise. Spend two nights in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater (Tanzania)

On Day 8, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, an extinct volcanic caldera that houses a dense concentration of wildlife. Spot lions, elephants, and rhinos as you explore this incredible ecosystem, which is often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The afternoon offers an opportunity to witness a breathtaking sunset over the crater. Overnight at your lodge or tented camp at the crater’s rim.

Day 9: Tarangire National Park (Tanzania)

Travel to Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous baobab trees and large elephant herds. Here, you’ll also find lions, leopards, and various species of birds. The park’s unique landscape and smaller migration of over 250,000 animals make for an unforgettable experience. Spend your final night in Tanzania at a lodge or tented camp in Tarangire.

Day 10: Arusha (Tanzania)

On your final day, enjoy one last game drive in Tarangire before heading to Arusha. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
