Safari Overview

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara (Approx. 265 km, 5 hrs)

Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel, airport, or residence at 7:30 AM. Journey south to Masai Mara, passing through Kenya’s central highlands and scenic farmlands. Along the way, stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpment for photos. Arrive in time for lunch and then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Stay overnight at a safari lodge or tented camp in Masai Mara.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Experience a full day of game viewing, including the Big Five. Enjoy a picnic by the Mara River, where you may observe hippos and crocodiles. If visiting during the Great Migration (July–October), witness the dramatic river crossings. Overnight at your Mara lodge or camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Victoria (270 km, 5-6 hrs)

Morning game drive in Masai Mara, then depart for Lake Victoria in Tanzania. Cross the Isebania border and meet your Tanzanian guide. Arrive at Lake Victoria in the late afternoon and relax at your lodge by the lake. Option to visit Bunda Market.

Day 4: Lake Victoria to Serengeti National Park (180 km, 3 hrs)

Visit a local fishing village to learn about traditional fishing techniques before continuing to Serengeti National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive and spot the park’s incredible wildlife. Stay overnight at a lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Explore Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is home to the Great Migration, as well as lions, cheetahs, zebras, and giraffes. Watch for radio-collared lions and enjoy the stunning wildlife displays. Overnight at your Serengeti lodge or camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater (180 km, 3-4 hrs)

Morning game drive in Serengeti, then head to Ngorongoro Crater. After arriving, descend into the crater to explore its diverse wildlife, including rhinos, elephants, and buffalo. Enjoy a sunset from the crater rim before overnighting at a lodge or camp.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Tarangire (150 km, 3 hrs)

Watch a beautiful sunrise at the crater rim before traveling to Tarangire National Park. Experience an afternoon game drive, seeking out the park's diverse animals. Overnight at your Tarangire lodge or camp.

Day 8: Tarangire to Arusha or Nairobi (160 km to Arusha, 420 km to Nairobi)

Morning game drive in Tarangire, then travel to Arusha or Nairobi, depending on your drop-off preference. Arrive in Nairobi in the early evening or enjoy a drop-off at Kilimanjaro Airport or in Arusha.
